Republican Rep. Darrell Issa helped fund the recall effort against then-California Gov. Gray Davis in 2003, but the California congressman told Fox News that the push to recall current Gov. Gavin Newsom is "more important" than that effort.
The campaign to force a recall vote against Newsom has garnered signatures from more than 1.4 million Californians. The proponents of the recall effort hope to hit 2 million signatures by March 17, but only 1.5 million are needed to trigger a mid-year election.

What would replace Newsom?
Will they verify signatures?. The new gov will probably be a non-English speaking illegal.
I’m being a broken record here. They need 2.2m signatures to overcome the Dim fraud when they start eliminating signatures as not valid. They don’t want to disenfranchise a voter in an election, but they are most willing to disenfranchise a voter signature on a recall petition. Get the signature collection going at the precinct level. Use your voter data to find the people most likely to sign if you bring it to their door.
Possibly someone worse, but I still signed. A successful recall could doom his political career and spare the country the indignity of dumber-than-a-box-of-rocks Gavin taking his shtick national.
It would be nice to see him gone. He has been a real jerk after he was elected. He makes California look real bad!
If a recall election happens, there are two issues on the election ballot.
The first question is, do you want to recall the governor, yes or no. We will vote on that question.
Then, there will be a ballot of candidates to vote for, if the first question to recall the governor gets over 50% of the vote.
Whoever gets a plurality on the second question, as to who will be elected governor if the recall succeeds, will become governor. From what I heard, there will not be a runoff election after the recall, the new governor will be whoever gets a plurality of the vote that day.
Every signature will be checked and verified.
No mail in either.
Anyone But
Ahnode SwartzenGrabber!
But if the cheating isn’t fixed, wouldn’t he just win again by cheating?
I’ve had to explain how the signatures work to every person.
You must get it exactly right otherwise you will invalidate the other 4 votes on the form...
The thing many people don’t understand is they invalidate a block of signatures to achieve their aim of disqualifying signatures.
If one person on a form is found invalid the other four get tossed as well.
Don’t care.
I want that asshat to slink off to corporate boards, never to be heard from again.
Therein lies the question.
It’s Cali... it’ll be someone to the political left of Newsom.
Ummm...we could have used that last Nov.
Newsom is just another pretty boy ; part of the Democrat clan
they could come up with another six tomorrow like him and get 60% of the vote here
but the big picture , if he does get recalled , as the pretty boy Democrat favorite
is that the Democrat voters in the state of had it !!!!!
HAD IT. with the lockdown bull crap
and that’s the message that you’re sending NOT recall pretty boy
this new Democrat totalitarianism ; with the mask bullshit ; the lockdown bullshit - the we’re going to tell you what to do ! and you better behave !
the regular Democrats out here don’t like that they’re kind of free wheeling and like to have fun. And party and see music
100,000 more sigs to go then vote the Bass Turd out!
What would replace Newsom?
Another collectivist.
Replacement found by Ancestry.com dna test to be a blood relation of Karl Marx. Worked alongside Obama in welfare recipient demonstration organizing, legal efforts to defend Hillary and Huma, worked to incite BLM supporters to burn buildings and to promote election by mail and solicitations of old address voters in 2020. A full life and now, Governor of California. America is still the Land of Opportunity.
Also, Newsom hired as personal assistant and heir apparent.
If my satire proves true, somebody award me some kind of prize.
It would also give the DNC a punch in the nose But the GOPe e is more disposed to sucking donkey dick than fighting communists on the other side of the aisle.
