President Biden on Friday made the case for Congress to quickly pass his nearly $2 trillion coronavirus relief package even if it means abandoning Republican support, warning of an economy that's still in the grips of the pandemic.

Seems like there is still $1 trillion left from the last coronavirus relief package but none of that was to be used to bail out cities the Democrats have bankrupted and this one give them $350 billion. Nice going Joe...I mean Kamala.

Sure it’s an easy choice, just like obamascare. But he thought he needed to rub it in.

What money are we using to pay this? We are already trillions in Debt, Tax time is going to hurt.

When all the dust settles, this is indeed a 50/50 country. The senate is 50-50. The House is just about 50-50. The presidential races are razor thin (when properly counted). So Biden see a mandate? “Let’s just cram whatever we want to do down the throats of the other half of the country...”

China is giving us a great discount on green ink... as long as we buy it by the tanker load.

I think this is going to be paid with borrowed money.

How much is the national debt anymore? North of $25 trillion, perhaps approaching $30 trillion after we add up all of the virus relief bills spending???

I haven’t heard anyone talk about inflation, but, historically, big increases in the money supply have triggered inflation. To paraphrase some politician somewhere, inflation is the cruelest tax of all. The buying power of all of our money will be reduced as all of this money circulates in the economy.

And in addition to the official national debt in the $20+ trillion range, we have tens of trillions of additional, “off the books” unfunded liabilities which some future president and Congress will have to grapple with.

Biden doesn't see a mandate.

He and his handlers see an opportunity...one they've been waiting for since Woodrow Wilson was in office.

A Progressive Utopia.

Yep.

Stalinists lie. Always

I never even got the last $600 payment. I certainly wouldn't want to wait until I file my taxes NEXT year to get the $1400 (and Joe promised $2000).

antidemoncrat :" Seems like there is still $1 trillion left from the last coronavirus relief package but none of that

Any Chinavirus relief plan would have been better served
if only Nazzi Pelousiey had agreed to it only 10 MONTHS AGO !
instead of sitting on it, and forceing the American people to suffer from this created economic disaster.

“143,300,000 Tax Payers X $1400 = $200+B. Where is the rest going to?”

Excellent question. The answer might that the bailout is part of a larger spending bill but even if that’s so it doesn’t means we aren’t borrowing money and throwing most of it away.
