Former President Donald Trumpâs team dismissed a request for the former president to testify under oath at the pending Senate impeachment trial.
But Trump lawyer David Schoen, in response, claimed Raskin was attempting a âpublic relations stuntâ by sending the letter to the former president.
âThere is no such thing as negative inference in this unconstitutional proceeding,â he added. âYour letter only confirms what is known to everyone: you cannot prove your allegations against the 45th president of the United States, who is now a private citizen.â
In suggesting that Trump will not attend the trial to testify, Schoen argued that Raskinâs âuse of our Constitution to bring a purported impeachment proceeding is much too serious to try to play these games.â

I’m sure that’s true. The Left wants to keep beating on Trump like a piñata, but where does it go from here? Does the Left just keep impeaching him over and over and over? Does he come Emmanuel Goldstein of the two minutes hate?
The Left should be careful. They’re going to make Trump into a martyr.
