People’s willingness to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is rising around the world and more than half of those questioned said they would take the shot if it were offered next week, an updated survey of global vaccine confidence found on Thursday.
But attitudes and confidence vary widely in the 15 countries covered in the survey, with France showing high levels of scepticism and some Asian countries showing declining trust in vaccines, while some European nations see rising confidence.
Overall, vaccine confidence is higher than in November, when the same survey - conducted in 15 countries and covering 13,500 people each time - found that only 40% would be willing to get vaccinated.

Count me in as “other”.
120 million doses have been given out worldwide including nearly 37 million in the US alone. Confidence will continue to rise as more and more people hear their friends, family, and neighbors get it and say it’s no big deal.
In the end, >95% of Americans will get vaccinated by their own free will and COVID-19 will end. No more cases, no more deaths, no more lockdowns, no more masks. Probably by some time in July of this year we’ll be pretty much back to normal. By the end of this year, any single case will get news coverage because that’s just how uncommon it’ll be.
I have had both shots and it was not even as bad as the flu shots I get every year.
If you do not want the shots oh well. You should not be forced to get them but private companies have the right to insist that you have the immunization before you use their services or before they hire you. School districts have the right to insist that you be vaccinated to work there or before you kids can attend school.
I am also for being held absolutely financially responsible for all medical costs if you refuse the shot and then get the virus. I should not be forced to pay for other peoples stupidity.
But you still need to wear a mask and social distance and the vax may only last a year. What a bunch of bullsh##
I’m not taking the vaccine. For one, I don’t trust anything without a significant track record of actually working with little side effects. Second is, with 2020 flu cases being the lowest in years, I have come to the conclusion that COVID is nothing more than a new strain of the flu. Even with severe arthritis, and taking biologics for it, I have bypassed taking the flu shot.

With all the non-guarantees that come with it, there’s hardly any point of taking it.
Covid was created (by Fauci supported gain of function research at the Wuhan lab) to intentional seek reason for approving the use of totally untried introduction of artificial (human designed) mRNA into humans.
There is no long term study verifying that the human-made mRNA will remain stable/remain in the cytoplasm in the cells it enters. Since it is artificial, it is not likely (unlike other aspects on the cell cytoplasm) to be reproduced by the ever-ongoing cell-death cell-birth process (nearly all your cells are always undergoing cell death and replacement by new cells). It’s mRNA is not known, not produced, by the DNA-RNA process from the cell nucleus.
Actually, that is not totally different than other vaccines that use inactive virus elements as the means of triggering an immune response. Those inactive virus elements will not remain in place past the normal replacement time of the cell (leading to lack of wonder why it is encouraged to get the same named vaccine every year).
I am betting that the long term memory T-cell and B-cell responses specific to the Covid-19 virus, for persons who have successfully defeated the virus, will longer serve those individuals than the Covid-19 antibody responses of vaccinated individuals.
I should not be forced to pay for other peoples stupidity.

Seems refusing EXPERIMENTAL vaccines that have not had animal trials nor long-term effects testing is not really stupid.
Suppose this vaccine, like some others, gives users future ADE events when they encounter the virus in the future? Suppose 6 months out YOU become afflicted with an unknown side effect. Are all who refused the EXPERIEMENTAL vaccine allowed to repeat your remark to them?

I stand firm behind that statement. If you rationalize away being protected you and only you are responsible for the results of that decision. Period.
I had only those children that I could afford to raise with no help from the government. I paid for me and mine and consider other stupid for getting themselves into situations where their decisions escape the ability of their budget.
This is the same thing to me.
I am very much not a socialist. I am very much a long term vet who has earned my constitutional rights with multiple combat tours and paid my own way in life.
I fully expect the same from others. If you create a medical situation or children you can’t afford it is not my responsibility to pay for your bad decisions.

On the vaccine fears.... Those of us who have been hospitalized for reactions to drugs, and also we have seen two of our sons with terrible reactions to drugs, ALL OF THEM LEGAL, PRESCRIBED antibiotics... We will tread slowly, fearfully to get vaccinated. When our kids were little they only got a couple of vaccines. All I got was Polio vaccine as a kid. I had Chicken Pox, Mumps, Measles. They were nothing compared to anaphylactic shock!
Our oldest son very nearly died from one DOCTOR PRESCRIBED CECLOR pill... It was scary watching them work frantically on him for 6 Hours.
This describes our reaction to some prescribed drugs.
Common allergic reactions to penicillin include rashes, hives, itchy eyes, and swollen lips, tongue, or face. In rare cases, an allergy to penicillin can cause an anaphylactic reaction, which can be deadly. This type of reaction usually happens within an hour after you take penicillin.
Our neighbor got the 2nd vaccine and got extremely sick, high fever, intense pain. But he did finally recover.
I have a lesser version of that kind of latex allergy.
Remember when you would go to the doctor's and you filled out stuff and they asked you what you were allergic to?
Seems like all these vaccines don't require any scientific questioning. It's all just part of the risk factors that they read about in the package inserts.
My uncle had a reaction to an antibiotic that ate up all his white blood cells. He died eight days later. They could do nothing for him except watch him die.
The mRNA vaccine puts us ALL in the risk category.
