Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stripped from her committee assignments following full House vote

ATLANTA — The U.S. House stripped Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committee assignments Thursday afternoon.

Greene, a freshman member from Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, has a long record of making incendiary remarks ranging from allegedly supporting violence against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats, to spreading baseless claims that mass school shootings were staged.

I think it is a good idea she is off the committees. I wish the GOP did it instead of the vote on the House floor. Some of the comments she has made are just plain crazy and she is going to be a problem just like the former congressman from Iowa.

I think it was not necessary...I think voters, in her district, should decide whether to "punish" her or not...By voting her out of office in 2022...

Democratic majority is acting as if Congresswoman Greene is indicted for some serious crime...

Former Iowa congressman Steve King...He got in trouble for questioning why words "white nationalist" should be considered offensive...Voters eventually decided not to reelect him...

I think Maxine and a number of radicals on the far left should also be removed as well. There is no place for them as well.

I am not a fan of Congresswoman Waters...I also think that voters, in her district, should decide whether to "punish" her for her irresponsible comments...Yes, she has a very Democratic district...But, I still believe that voters should decide...

Congresswoman Waters has no problem making irresponsible comments because she will bring up racism whenever somebody else criticizes her...She will bring up racism if any attempt is made to remove her from Committee assignments... I don't know if removing her from Committees is worth the effort...

The Minority Leader doesn't control the House. Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House - she runs the place.

Yes, indeed...Speaker Nancy decided that Congresswoman Greene should be removed from Committees...End of the story...There is no filibuster in the House...Leader McCarthy could not stop her...

Speaker Nancy could do anything she wants as long as her fellow Democrats support her...That is the reality...

If even all Republicans voted "no", Congresswoman Greene would still be removed from Committees...

So true, and if they need to kill every Trump supporter, they will be happy to do so. The Left loves the lessons from Chairman Mao and envy CCP for what they have done to dissenters.
