The only good thing about disco is in retaliation, punk was birthed.

Whether you like Disco or “The Captain and Tennille” SOMEthing had to take the vacuum left between ‘70s Country-Western vs. Hard/Glam/Punk Rock vs. Soul/Funk (Earth Wind & Fire/Ohio Players).

From the perspective of making a perfectly rendered truly pop music tune, “Love Will Keep Us Together” comes about as close as anything. Sedaka tune, Toni Tennille’s voice is fine for this song, and Dragon is great on the keyboards.

Captain and Tenille were good - “Love will keep us together”.

Most major disco hits were also musically great. I still shuffle to them in my walker and Depends. /sarc

Donna Summer, Bee Gee, John Travolta, Yvonne Elliman,The Trammps, Andrea True, Village People, Gloria Gayner, etc.
