Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) said in a statement Monday the Democrats’ $1.9 trillion coronavirus proposal amounts to nothing more than payback to liberal states that helped Democrats during the recent elections.
Scott, a former Florida governor, said Republicans want to pass targeted relief to help Americans suffering from the economic effects of the coronavirus; however, he added that they should not bail out liberal states such as New York, Illinois, and California. He also noted that liberal states are starting to see tax revenue growth, which further calls into question the need for state and local government aid in a coronavirus package.

There is little doubt sometime in the next 2 years we’ll see legislation passed to allow federally guaranteed state and municipal debt.
And yes the fedgov is broke, but its credit rating is a lot higher than many of these states and cities.
Watch. California, Illinois and New York will all get bailed out by the federal government.

I’m in California, but this is so wrong. Federal taxpayers should not have to bail out states that made bad decisions.
They will just throw in a $1400 check and the people will cheer. Checks for all! Yay debt! All hail socialism!
I fear that the bill includes making “Election Fraud” legal.

Liberal state government employees are overcompensated with benefits and PENSIONS. If they didn’t win this election, their PENSIONS would be in deep trouble because Trump wasn’t going to bail them out.
Sooner or later, our entire system is going to go broke. They just don’t want to get their before us. They want us bailing out their irresponsible programs as long as possible.

The federal government not being able to pay its bills will be the least of our problems. Florida and Texas need to lead the movement in "nullification".
