That's a feature, not a bug.
I have to disagree. Every day a kid stays out of the government school system is a plus for him mentally and emotionally. The reason online learning is failing is that teachers are trying to make it as difficult as possible to prove how wonderful and necessary they are, and that it attempts to recreate the stultifying conditions that exist in classrooms. It does not take 7 or 8 hours a day to teach kids what they need to learn.
The real purpose of the schools is to provide subsidized babysitting and to keep teens out of the full-time workforce.
Good book - “How Children Fail” by John Holt.
Yeah, he was an old hippies, but he had some great insights into how children learn and how they fail.
