I agree. I mean booted from the party. Her seat is her seat, and if her constituents return her, fine.

They might keep her out of the Republican Caucus, but they cannot remove her from the party. She is a registered Republican, elected as a Republican, sitting on the Republican side of the aisle. The "party" cannot change any of those things.

When the House organizes, did she and will she vote for McCarthy for Speaker? If so, she is a de facto Republican, even as Bernie Sanders and Angus King are de facto Democrats.

Who owns the Republican Party? Is the party the RNC and the Congressional leadership or is it the grassroots Republicans?
