People like the Cheney's are after POWER, wealth is just a bonus perk.

I’m rather optimistic about ousting her, since there is a strong Republican running and there will be tons of money coming in from Trump supporters. In the end, she may get 15% of the Republican vote, and that won’t be enough to win.
Scare? It is the truth. The truth should't scare you, use it to make decisions...
One decisions I have made is I am stridently for a new MAGA party because the GOP is too corrupt to save.
She may decide not to run and then move about a mile west of where she currently works to K Street NW and become a lobbyist.

This is why trying to “reform” the Republican Party from within will be virtually IMPOSSIBLE!! It doesn’t matter who you primary....the chances are that you’re going to have traitors in your mist and not even know it! I think its naive to ever think that the “grassroots” can ever overtake the establishment of a 150 year old party. Total naivety!

It should! At least now you have some idea of what we’re up against....The Swamp is from BOTH parties! That’s why I’m not convinced that trying to “reform” the Republican Party is the best solution! We’ll ALWAYS be fighting with traitors from within. Not sure how you win a war that way.

Well that’s not going to happen. Little Kevin saw to that. The GOP is at war with its own base and the idiots who run the party don’t seem to know it.
Liz’s family is already rich because Dick Cheney has long been as swampy as it gets. Lynne is no saint either, considering that she sat on the board of Lockheed for years because of her husband’s connections and influence. I also see no evidence that Lynne is somehow brainier than Dick.

I wonder if longer-serving members resented the fact that she almost immediately was elevated to a leadership position?
Her opposition to Trump is mostly personal, I’d say. She didn’t like the fact that he, for four years, criticized the Bush-Cheney foreign policy. These Bushies don’t take criticism. They especially didn’t like it when one of their own, namely Jeb!, was the object of Trump’s contempt and derision throughout the primaries.
You don’t hold one of the Bushes up to ridicule and get away with it. The RINO empire fights back and that includes W who thanked Clayburn at Biden’s inaugural for saving Biden’s campaign and making him president. These people are disgusting. The Republican Party is well rid of them. Just a back-stabbing, treacherous lot.
