They were never really needed. Only deluded fools, living in an alternate reality, really believed these grifters were stoking some great mass of "decent" Republicans of to rise up against Trump. The whole project was a scam conjured up by failed Bush league consultants to line their own pockets. Their only real customers were the foolish deep pocketed liberals who paid them. Most of these deluded paymasters have never themselves supported a Republican in their entire lives. A despicable and dishonest operation in every respect.
You make a good point. The only time I ever heard of them was when a lefty friend shared one of their videos or messages.
