Do tell!
I was on leave from the Army in Las Vegas on my way to Vietnam, Christmas 1966. I was 19yrs old so I would wear my uniform to the casinos. Don Rickles played the lounge at the Sahara Hotel. I would go catch his act almost every night.

One night really late I went into the coffee shop at the Sahara (in uniform) and sat at the counter. In the booth behind me was Frank Sinatra, Buddy Hackett, Joey Bishop and I think someone else but I forget who.

I don't remember anyone else in the coffee shop.

The waitress came to me and said "someone who wishes to remain anonymous would like to buy you whatever you would like". I happened to over hear Frank talking to the waitress but couldn't hear exactly what he was saying...I'm pretty sure he's the one.

It doesn't really matter who it was, the gesture was great.
