I have noticed that more people are wearing their masks correctly. A month ago, whenever I would go out shopping, I would frequently see people wearing their mask pulled down below their noses, meaning that their masks were doing nothing. These days, when I go shopping, I have not seen anyone who has a pulled down mask. I suspect this is because the narrative that Covid-19 is not serious has served its purpose. (I think that the left invented this narrative, and that it took off because they cleverly presented it as an issue of freedom and liberty, not of public health.) The result of the increase in proper mask use is that the new daily case count has been dropping. As of this morning, there are 140,848 new cases, as compared to 218,432 new cases on the morning of 1/17/21, two weeks ago. That's a huge drop. The deaths should also start to drop soon.
The WHO just changed testing cycles requirements from 40 to 20.
For very technical reasons related to the process of PCR, this eliminates false positives while still capturing positive tests. I don't know that I would have reduced the cycles by so much--my preference would have been to reduce to 30--but I have not personally looked at the data or run any Covid-19 PCR tests which would give me a feel for the specific characteristics of these tests.
When performing PCR, there is always a risk of getting a positive result if the test is carried out for too many cycles. A true positive will usually emerge by 15 cycles, although it can take longer if there is little specific genetic material present.
If you want, I can go into a detailed technical description of PCR testing and how we try to decrease the numbers of false positives and distinguish between false and true positives.
“The result of the increase in proper mask use is that the new daily case count has been dropping.”
Correlation doesn’t equal causation.

Next, explain why the inventor of PCR said it shouldn’t be used for diagnosis at all.
