Next week, the Ames, Iowa public school district is sponsoring a “Black Lives Matter week of action” that includes teaching transgenderism to children as young as four years old, Young America’s Foundation reports.
On the school district’s webpage about this “week of action” slated for Feb. 1-5, it reprints the “Black Lives Matter at School Guiding Principles,” which include the following:
6. Queer Affirming – We are committed to fostering a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking or, rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual unless s/he or they disclose otherwise.”
“7. Trans Affirming – We are committed to embracing and making space for trans siblings to participate and lead. We are committed to being self-reflexive and doing the work required to dismantle cis-gender privilege…”
“11. Black Villages – We are committed to disrupting the Western prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, and especially ‘our’ children to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”
Besides being anti-family and adamant about teaching sexual information to children as young as four, the curriculum is overtly racist. Here are just a few examples.

“Idiots Out Wandering Around.”
Seems true of The Moines and East of there...
Ames is not that far from Madistan...
I can’t believe any people would stand for this. What have the parents said or done to the school board?
The Church is as subverted as any other formerly reliable institution. Things are not good.
Don’t blame the teachers, don’t blame your school, don’t blame tv, don’t blame parents, don’t blame the church and don’t blame universities. We can just blame the homeschoolers, the children, the Bible, or anything contrary to the norm. That’s right up is down and down is up. 95 percent of Christians send their kids to public school knowing nothing in that school provides Christian teaching. The kids will grow up on evolution, gender studies, hatred of their country, bullies, cussing, etc., all so the mother can work and doesn’t have to cook that much, not to mention bothering with their children.
They certainly have a vastly different description of a “Small town Iowa” Ames is not huge by national city standards but there are 35,000 students and the natural population townies is at least that much.
To me “Small town Iowa” is less than maybe 5,000 people.
Nobody in Iowa calls Ames a small town
Headline is purposely misleading.
“... public school knowing nothing in that school provides Christian teaching.”
Yes, our culture has been actively pulled away from Christ on purpose. Figuring out the why, how, and whom, behind that is essential to turning things around. I think the Lord will have to return before that happens. I doubt he will appreciate my “I told you so” at that point, so it’s best I keep that to myself. Obviously, he already knows.
Why are these stupid parents not pulling their children out?
“A foolish uninformed comment. Are you upset because Iowa State beat Texas in football? I can search and find lots of whacked out liberal things schools in Texas are doing”
LOL.... hit a nerve there aye. That acronym’s been around as long as I can remember. Football? Played it in high school, enjoyed the game as you could legally knock the crap out of someone without penalty especially at DB. Haven’t given two craps about football for years. Knock yerself out and I’ll even give ya some hints to start yer search.... try Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio for starters as they’re libtard stink-pits. Have fun.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
