You are living the dream. How long did it take President Trump to get his cabinet confirmed? How many embedded people sabotaged him by weeding out any maga people applying for jobs? It’s easy to talk up a storm but there is tremendous inertia and a country to keep up & running while you try & get people confirmed.
Unlike Joe Blow POTUS Trump did not sacrifice the Country for his ambitions or for political points.
I fully appreciate what Trump went through. Backstabbers and resisters everywhere, especially in his own party. But executives, managers and leaders the world over know that if you don’t establish control over your organization you’re doomed. Their agenda will be thwarted at every turn.
That’s one reason why re-orgs are so common place. Managers have the right to put key people into trusted positions. They know how important it is.
Trump was an outsider who underestimated the Swamp. I voted for the guy and donated a considerable amount of money to him. He did great things but the Swamp nipped at his heels for four years. Not saying he could have avoided it all. Just saying that cleaning house was (as difficult as it may be) absolutely necessary.
He needed a lot more people like Rick Grenell in key positions. It would have made his life a lot easier. That’s my point. A coach needs good, motivated players to win.
Did you not hear how Rush described that there were plenty of Maga people, but that the Senate refused to confirm any of them?
"The acting defense secretary — yes, I said “acting.” Do you know why the word “acting” is necessary here? The “acting” defense secretary? Trump for the most part — exceptions, of course — Trump was never allowed to have any of his picks actually confirmed. Some of them were never confirmed. They were simply acting defense secretaries awaiting confirmation?"
