In the last 36 hours Mammoth Mountain reported 69-81 inches of fresh snow. We are expecting up to 10 feet of snow from this storm.

My parents lived in this area for almost 20 years. Truckee is 5800 feet above sea level. A 6 foot snowfall overnight wasn’t uncommon.

Yep! I’m in Western Pa just above Pittsburgh and South Of Erie.....But the Jet stream wobbles through here so you never know for sure what you’re going to get! But I’m ready for whatever it will be.

I saw that, too. I guess the point I was trying to make is that if you’re thinking in terms of a foot of snow is normal then an occasional two feet is going to happen, too.
