I really don’t think the Left “denigrating” Trump supporters is the big problem here.

They’ve been doing that for years.

They are now using words like “reprogramming”. You don’t even need to know much history to understand THAT.

Sometime ago, two years into the O administration, I wrote we were in the midst of a communist takeover and we were very rapidly reaching the point where terror on the citizens was going to be needed to keep moving it forward.

It took a little longer than I anticipated (only because of normalcy bias, lack of American memory and ability of humans to get comfortable with less, well, comfort)
