Orly if YOU let them be. This is an easy fix. DON"T WEAR ONE. When someone asks you to wear one, politely say "No, thank you." If they become insistent, forcefully tell then "NO". If they get physical, protect yourself accordingly.

Exactly. I don’t wear a nasty, bacteria-laden snot rag up against my face. So far, all I’ve gotten is the occasional dirty look from the devout Masky McMaskersons. A couple of times, people have noticed my bare face in a store and have removed their face diapers.
When I have been offered a mask at store entrances, I just say “no, thank you” and keep on moving. Mask nazis at store entrances are less common lately, at least where I live.
If more people would just stop wearing the nasty things, I think they would at least have to make them optional instead of mandatory.
