Again, if someone is tithing in good faith, then God blesses them for their tithe. Did or do all the people tithing to any church know where the money was going, no.
Early in my adult life I worked for a short time selling cars. A guy came in who I knew was pastor of a very small church. The parking lot maybe held ten cars.
Of course he bought the highest performance most expensive car on the lot.
I don’t believe Christian ministers need to live austere lives. I do believe they should live in line with their income and what their church can afford though.

what happens to it after that is between the receiver and God.
