Republicans are questioning the timing of Democratic governors and mayors easing their coronavirus restrictions.
While these state and local officials point to data and pre-set benchmarks to justify their reopening decisions, critics of the lockdowns that have hurt businesses over the past year suspect former President Donald Trump leaving office has something to do with it.
Rep. Jim Hagedorn told the Washington Examiner the timeline is suspect given President Biden's inauguration was last week, saying, "It is no coincidence" that Democratic leaders are lifting restrictions now. .... because Democrat politicians put their party’s political interests ahead of ... their constituents,"
Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, a Missouri Republican, concurred, expressing anger at what he views to be "bureaucratic games" by Democrats. ..... politicians should not be given the stage to play partisan politics with the livelihoods of our nation’s small businesses," he said.
Biden took office on Jan. 20 and quickly signed executive orders to increase the pace of vaccinations, expand testing, and reopen schools.
It wasn't long before several Democratic leaders started to make announcements about easing coronavirus restrictions.

When this whole thing started I knew they would politicize covid. We all did. You could tell because they warned Trump not to do it and then immediately did it themselves. This is how they operate. They punch you in the nose, then change the rules to make it illegal to punch someone in the nose, then accuse you of trying to punch them in the nose. It’s always so obvious.
No, I’m sure it is just a coincidence that ‘rat governors and mayors are talking about easing their totalitarian and un-Constitutional restrictions just days after that criminal Biden was installed in office. Total coincidence. :-/
A blind person could have foreseen this was going to happen. I still believe the media is the most destructive thing in America. Yes even more the the democrats themselves. However it’s close.
Republicans wonder about everything but as a party accomplish nothing.
I’m giving the Republicans room to digest what they’re hearing and seeing from their supporters.......they know they’re in deep crap and better snap to it or they’re done forever. Whoever votes for Trumps impeachment will be telling....if it gets that far.
We saw this coming long before the election.
I told my wife back in June that the restrictions will only last until the election is over.
I posted this before but will here as well because The Game = Chasing the dragon for Nancy Pelosi......(”I love the fray”).....she also loves the thrill of breaking the rules or ignoring the legalities or changing the rules that gives her a sense of achievement (”Don’t mess with me”) of having broken the rules and not paid the penalty....which particularly makes Pelosi particularly loathsome.
Was reading an article that stated those that cought covid, not serious and stayed at home, are the ones suffering greatly with after effects that are terrible to contend with.......and they’ve even started clinics to help these people because there are so many whose bodies are really screwed up.
Some Dr.s believe possible the body’s immune system kicks in to such a high gear to fight a covid invasion that even after feeling better the immune system is still in high gear and may be causing all these pains and great fatigue people are expereincing.
Bottom line it’s probably just as better to get the vaccine as it to catch it and suffer for months after.
