Teens do immature things. From personal experience I know that the mother-daughter relationship is often strained during those years. In my case, those relationships were repaired in the 20's and my daughters and wife have very strong relationships now.

The problem is if a teen does something stupid that involves the Internet, it's there forever. I'm not surprised she's trying to walk it back. Not sure if that's possible now that LE is involved.
