I remember the Susan B. Anthony disaster - a dollar coin that was the same size as a quarter. Lost a few of them - paid out as quarters - along with just everyone else. What a disaster, haven’t seen one in decades..

Harriet Tubman was a Republican.

I’m all for removing Democrats from money and replacing them with Republicans.

It’s nothing against Tubman, she was an amazing woman. I’d rather have her honored on a special $1 coin series with other famous black Americans. But her life pales to what Jackson has done.

Well, since Andrew Jackson was the founder of the Democratic Party, a case can be made for getting rid of him. He did win the battle of New Orleans but he was not very nice to the civilized Indians who did not want to be ethnically cleansed from their ancestral homelands.

For opponents of Andrew Jackson who had a much bigger impact than Harriet Tubman, I can think of three: John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, and John C. Calhoun. Maybe reconvene the members of the 1776 Commission and ask them to make a pick.
