The time for playing this out in the media has passed. I’d like to see Trump sue the US Senate and force Roberts and the rest of the court to clear this up.

I'm with you. Personally, there's something in me that really wants to see President Trump walk into the Senate chamber, tell each and every Senator thinking about voting to "impeach him" now that he's out of office what a cowardly piece of fecal matter they really are, declare the entire thing a sham and as illegitimate as Biden is, then turn and walk out.

It would be (as the kids say) ... EPIC.
