Didn’t they find verified pieces of MH270 wreckage near Africa? That would not be consistent with a crash in the S. China Sea.
That is what I thought too. That parts of the plane washed up on shore in eastern Africa on the Indian Ocean. They traced the serial number of those “parts” back to the airplane manufacturer.

My hypothesis was that it crashed into a jungle-covered mountainside in Vietnam's Annamite Cordillera mountain range until I read reports of the wreckage discoverd.

Months and months after the mishap, pieces would float long distances, pushed along by the currents that flow east to west. where some pieces were found.
