In the real world, the Republicans need 55 Senators to offset the shrinkage from Romney, etc. in order to control the Senate. This is a one-time opportunity to get a new party going, which would drain off actual moderate Dems along with the non-RINO Repubs.

Keeping the status quo and trying to primary out the deadwood one at a time sounds like a noble pastime, like counting snowflakes or herding cats.

Unless you personally are willing to run for a Houst seat under this "new" Party, and are willing to finance or raise $$ for other candidates flying the same flag - all you are doing is projecting

Reality means PRIMARIES and a hope that Third party candidates are available on the Nov. Ballots
