I think they feel they have this sword of Damocles dangling over Trump’s head. The democrats and GOP Quislings are probably using the threat of a possible conviction to silence Trump.
Trump actually holds the sword.
He should tell McConnell if 17 Senators vote to convict. I’m running as an American Independent in 2024, regardless.
Remember they can vote to keep him from holding political office again, but the Constitution doesn’t say you “can’t run for office again.”
