I suspect that, outside the tech giants, the top management of most businesses would very much like to do what you suggest.
Unfortunately, between the woke diversity activists in their own HR departments, their own lawyers, and the expense of fighting losing battles in liberal dominated courts, they have decided instead to tell their customers to either suck it up or go somewhere else. They do this knowing it will drive a number of them away. But they have concluded this course of action leads to the highest net profit.
This capitulation is all driven by fear of the woke cancel culture. You saw it in action this past year when companies, many having no relation to the activities being protested, rushed to issue groveling statements and undertook absurd initiatives in an attempt to avoid being accused of not being woke enough.
The latest example of this is the “whiteness” training teachers are being forced to undergo and the moves being made in some school districts to abolish traditional grading. The “justifications” being advanced to support these measures are nothing but a liberal/leftist woke jargon polical science word salad. Of course, anyone objecting for any reason is automatically branded as a racist using the most tone deaf hysterical language possible.
I am beginning to seriously believe that woke advocates are so indoctrinated/obsessed that true communication with them is probably impossible. For the record, I feel exactly the same way about people holding extreme views on the right.
