Lol! I remember my Dad trapping a squirrel that had been attacking birds at his feeder. He asked me to drive him somewhere relatively remote to release it. I pulled over, he opened the trap and shook it, but the damned squirrel hung on inside it. My Dad was cursing so loudly I was afraid the people in the nearest house would hear him and call the cops.

What you do is to save the box the trap came in and put the trap with squirrel into the box. Flap end to open box end. Close box flap. When you are at the goal, open the box flap, lift trap flap and out jumps squirrel on his way to the nearest house.
