Between the feds, the Sandia Labs, the military, state and local government, schools, Indian tribes, generational welfare cheats, etc. it’s close to that.
My sister-in-law lives there, she told me about this. She and her husband own small businesses which are close to 100% destroyed right now.
None of their neighbors/friends/acquaintences seem to care, all of them are government workers of some kind. They’re perfectly content to sit at home doing nothing and getting full pay and benefits.
That’s the only reason there haven’t been actual protests and riots against New Mexico’s fascist Democrat governor. The government workers are loving their paid vacation time and lucrative benefits.
