RUSH: Well, so far, folks, over 100 people have died today from COVID-19 due to President Biden’s mishandling of the virus. Isn’t that the way we report this stuff? I mean, that’s how they reported it with President Trump. Except they were a little bit more critical than I was. I mean, they had thousands of people dying every day because of Trump. We’re gonna unify ourselves out the wazoo and they were gonna fix all this.
Now, you know how this actually works. What’s gonna happen is that the Drive-By Media is going to report that Biden has inherited an absolutely horrible coronavirus response, and they’ll go out and they’ll talk to Dr. Fauci, and Dr. Fauci will say, “Yes, he has inherited a very, very bad and beleaguered response, but we are confident, we are confident that the vaccine rollout will now proceed in a very professional and all-encompassing fashion.”
This is what happens. You know, Obama takes office in 2009, and it takes, what, two weeks, and we are treated to the news, “My God. The Bush economy was even worse than we thought. They left us a bigger mess than we thought.” Remember that? Don’t deny it, folks. That’s exactly how it ends up being reported. So Biden will be said to have inherited a bad coronavirus vaccine rollout, response, whatever. Just like Obama. “Oh, my goodness. They didn’t even tell us. It was worse than we thought.” Which was used to justify your taxes going up.
Clinton did it too. Clinton takes office 1993. (Clinton impression) “I have never worked harder on anything in my life except Gennifer Flowers, she was a toughie for a while, but aside from that, I have ever worked harder on anything. And you know what, the Bush people, they lied, they lied to us. And we found it out. The economy is so much worse than what they told us. I thought I was gonna be able to have a middle-class tax cut. You remember I said so during that campaign. But, nah, can’t do it. I tried. I spent so much time working on it, but I can’t, gotta raise taxes.” They always do this.
But Trump, what did Trump do? Trump inherited a decades-long decline of our country. Not just an economy. Of course, that was true. But Trump inherited a decades-long decline in our country. It was a decline that the Obama administration was promoting. It was a decline that the Obama administration said they were the experts to manage it, that they were elected at the right time.
Obama and his team told us: You need to lower your expectations. The days of the next generation doing better than their parents, those days may be over in America because America may not deserve the superpower status and maybe America hasn’t legitimately earned our economic power. We’ve stolen things from other nations.
You know the drill. You know how Obama went about it.
So they were gonna manage the new decline. There wasn’t gonna be economic growth in excess of one and a half percent GDP every year, and there wasn’t. That’s what Trump inherited. Trump inherited an administration economic policy which was predicated on decline. And what did he do? What did Trump do? After getting to Washington and the Oval Office in 2017, Trump realizes that it’s worse than he thought.
What did he do? He didn’t complain. He didn’t call a press conference in the Oval Office. He didn’t say, “They lied to me.” He just worked himself to the bone to fix it. And he did, to the point now that the New York Times and the Washington Post are suggesting that the Biden economic transition team had better do everything they can to rebuild the economy to what it was during Trump’s first three years.
(interruption) Oh, 200 now? Two hundred people have died so far today from COVID-19 due to President Biden’s mishandling of the virus. They love this on the other side of the glass over there. This is exactly how they reported it with Trump, because of his mishandling. In the middle of Operation Warp Speed, we got vaccines in 10 months. No, that’s not worth any credit.

Well at least Biden’s 100 days of masks to supplement the 200 days of masks already in effect is conveniently timed to end at the end of flu season

I’m new to forum...don’t know how to add an original comment soHYDROXYCHLOROQUINE SAVED MY HUSBAND’S LIFE THIS WEEK!!!! Today is Thursday, 1/21...on Sunday he began symptoms, diagnosed with COVID Monday. By Wednesday he was extremely ill, had to get Xrays at hospital for evaluation...late yesterday afternoon we filled the scrip for Hydroxy, Z pack, prednisone. He was so ill that had it continued I’m sure he would have been admitted to hospital today...yet by 10 p.m. he was markedly better. He took his nighttime dose at midnight. By morning, he is almost back to normal. LESS THAN 12 HOURS. To not prescribe this medication is criminal. Doctors who are too spineless and ignorant to even try should be disbarred (or whatever is done to them). By the grace of God, in anticipation of our getting COVID (husband is 71 and i’m 70), I wanted to see how our doctor treated patients. When he told me he did nothing but wait for symptoms to exaccerbate till hospitalization was necessary, I was shocked. He had had 7 patients die by that time in November, probably 10 or more by now. I asked him what other illness warrants a “hands off” approach to treatment, just letting the patient linger. He had no answer. At that time I knew I would never go back to him...not just because of COVID but because I realized he was more interested in covering his butt than caring for patients. Sickening!!!!! I googled doctors in my area and I found ONE within driving distance of my home. I got established with her in December, and my husband did two weeks ago with some other medical issue. THANK GOD WE HAD HER YESTERDAY. Our old doctor would have let my precious husband of 50 years die....why? Because he doesn’t care. Another thing that was invaluable and I would everyone to do is buy a pulse-ometer now, a good one. It was only because of knowing that his oxygen sat level had dipped to 90 and pulse to 120 that we knew there was something seriously wrong. Sick as we both were, we got in the car and drove nearly 100 miles. THAT IS JUST WRONG...THAT TWO ELDERLY COVID PATIENTS (I tested positive yesterday) had to do that while we were so ill. We should have been able to see our local doctor. Sorry this is so long. I’m on a mission now to see how we can help others. I am so raving mad and sad. My heart is breaking for the poor folks who went through what we went through this week...with no help. I could be burying the man of dreams next week. Instead, we are going to go out and celebrate once we are off quarantine. Thankfully we live in a Red State, South Carolina, where restaurants are still open. So, two things, people....please please find a doctor in advance who will treat with hydroxy...and buy a pulseometer. They will save your life!!!! I found this site because I thought AMA had changed their position. Of course they didn’t. The only explanation - politics! I wish President Trump had said hydroxy was bad...we would likely have saved hundreds of thousands of lives. GOD help us all with what’s to come. I’ll reply to Kaslin.

First of all, every hurricane and forest fire is the fault of Globull Warming, and that in turn is the fault of the GOP for not embracing the Kyoto & Paris treaties, not passing draconian Cap & Trade laws, not crippling the economy with $20/gal gasoline taxes, and the like.
Secondly, if a single person dies in a natural disaster, that is the fault of the GOP Pres. When so many people died in Katrina, it was Bush's fault entirely. No blame at all on the New Orleans Dem Mayor who abandoned his constituents and fled town before it hit, while not lifting a finger to evacuate the poorest, even though there were unused fields full of hundreds of City buses and school buses that could have been used .... aerial photos of those submerged bus lots were shown later only on conservative outlets. And the Dem Gov of LA also did nothing, while FEMA was poised with tons of resources on standby for an invitation from the AWOL Gov & Mayor that never came.
A few years later, when Hurricane Sandy hit the East coast, Obama's reaction was to give a speech or two that sent chills & thrills running up & down the legs and backs of the MSM, who basked in the glow of O's warm radiance, prattling on about how fortunate we were to now have a President Who Cares, who will fix this situation immediately. Months & years later, his administration still hadn't gotten around to the lion's share of the post-Sandy cleanup that they were responsible for, but you'd only know that if you read/listened/watched conservative media.

I am facing the same problem that my doctor won’t say what he will do or won’t do if I get sick. There is simply no discussing approaches with him before I get sick (so far, so good and keeping fingers crossed — well-washed fingers, too). I have no idea if he and colleagues are well-informed or ignorant. He simply says “Follow CDC guidelines.” His Physician’s Assistant wrote today that my efforts to find out how they would treat the disease was putting the cart before the horse. The answer was basically “we’ll use the best treatment available if and when the time comes.” The PA hinted that oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation is the current best they can do.
I can see their point that medicine and therapies are rapidly evolving, but it isn’t reassuring in the least that they won’t have a discussion with me.
Congrats to you for being pro-active and finding an aggressive doc for you and your husband who would use the best available approaches.
One small tip / suggestion — paragraphs make a post much easier to read. I’m sure you wrote this quickly and you did an excellent job with your story — lots of us thank you for taking the time to do that. But paragraphs really help!
