To some degree but most Christian schools and homeschool groups create their own conferences and compete within them. They usually have their own state tournaments and championships.
Yes—although that isn’t true in my area (the private schools do compete with public).
And I even have one kid who went on to play his sport in the NCAA Div 1—and this will eventually hurt every excellent female athlete, who will compete eventually against the very best in her sport—and of course that now will be boys. Lots of lost scholarships and less college recruitment ahead for girls.
This already happened to my daughter in middle school—she ran a cross country race and a boy identifying as a girl came in second in that race.
But perhaps the idea of girls’ sports is stupid. Competition is competition and that’s that. It is a bit Jim Crow-ish to segregate.
