I've got a Model 97 12 gauge. Steel butt plate full choke kicks like a mule. Not much good for trap or skeet. Might be good for deterring Antifa.

The Model 94 is a classic, but the rifles produced since 1964 are not the same quality.

Left out one that never failed when shooting politicians, lol. The Assassin's Pistol. This one:

Browning Semi-Auto 22. One of his last designs. Available since 1914.

Oops. Too big. Wish it could be reduced in size. Here, this one: Quick HTML lesson: To resize an image, type width="xxx" after the url of the image, where "xxx" is the desired width in pixels. (400 to 600 is a good range for most posts.)
Alternately, you can type width="xx%" and the image will auto-scale to that percentage width of the active window. So for example, width="75%" will make the image 75% the width of the screen. If you reduce the size of the screen, the image also reduces.
So for your image above, if you type:
<img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/84/Browning_Model_1955.jpg" width="400">
You will get:
If you type:
<img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/84/Browning_Model_1955.jpg" width="75%">
You will get:

Images can be resized on display, just add height and width to your img tag.

I have a Browning Auto 5 (actually a Savage 745, but same thing) that will rival your Model 97 in recoil. The mass of the entire barrel coming back from that long stroke recoil action operation literally leaves bruises on my shoulder.

Model 97 would be great for deterring Antifa. Some models even came with a bayonet lug. John Browning's best design was the 1911 pistol. Finest defense pistol ever made,IMO. First time I ever fired one (U.S.Army basic training 1969) my reaction was "I gotta get me one of these." I prefer the Lightweight Commander. Your mileage may vary.

If America got the same value (return on investment) for everything as it did for the 1911, M2 .50 Cal, and B52 our taxes would be about 1%.
The M2 has probably killed more American enemies than anything but Fat Man and Little Boy and that would be a close call.

Might be good for deterring Antifa.
www.antifa.com is now Officially the Whitehouse Website, making Antifa an Integral part of the New Administration, you should be careful about threats

Only with a designer as prolific as Browning, would a design like the Winchester 1886 fail to make the “Top Ten”. It combined the magazine-fed repeater features of the Volcanic/Henry/Winchester toggle-link lever guns with the strength of his own falling-block rifle.

I had the opportunity to fire an M2 quad mount at LZ Bronco in Cambodia. (Mad Minute for those familiar with same) Nothing like it in the world.

Nothing like steel and wood. The kids have their plastic guns cuz a 1911 is too heavy for their widdle hands.

Browning Semi-Auto 22 Yup. Supposedly his own favorite design. It's the crack cocaine of firearms, you can't put it down.
To: artichokegrower
I’d give the Browning M1917 .30 cal heavy (water cooled) machine gun an honorable mention. It “fought” in WWI and the early years of WWII.
