I think it’s time, and it’s also appropriate that the Conservatives be first in breaking away. No, we will not win the Presidency, but we could garner 40 or so Congressional seats. There’s something to be said about being wanted by both sides during a debate. We could finally have influence beyond the uniparty, and it would be an inspiration to the progressives to demand the same. Sure, we could be handing it all over to the Democrats - but we’ve done that anyway. Why not die with pride?

That is what Trump needed. He said good things, but go shopping in any Walmart in America (or anywhere else) and all you see are “Made in China”.

Trump started out strongly. But there is a huge very rich set of (former) American businesses which sold out to China.
