'It was treacherous': Rudy Giuliani hits out at Bill Barr for blaming Trump for Capitol riots and says cause of unrest was the ex-Attorney General's 'failure to investigate voter fraud' which left mob 'angry'

Rudy Giuliani said Tuesday that blame over the violent US Capitol riots should, at least in part, be attributed to former Attorney General William Barr – and not Donald Trump.

The former New York City Mayor made the comments in response to an assertion made by Barr on Monday in which he said Trump ‘precipitated’ the deadly unrest in Washington DC on January 6.

‘It was treacherous, what [Barr] just did,’ Giuliani said to former White House adviser Steve Bannon, on his podcast, War Room Pandemic. ‘He has no basis for it. He was gone, in the sense of being able to investigate any of the facts.’

I think religious liberty is the first liberty. It is the foundation of our republic, and a free society depends upon a vibrant religious life among the people. So anytime that’s encroached upon by the government, I’m very, very concerned. As a technical matter, as you know, in facing an emergency, the government can put whatever restrictions the government’s willing to put on everybody else, like athletic events or concerts and so forth; they can technically do it to religion as well, as long as they’re not singling out religion, as long as it’s really necessary. …
And Barr said that last April. Looks like he didn’t mean a single word of it.
I believe strongly in public service. I revere the law.
From Barr’s confirmation hearing. Guess he was hungry enough to eat his own words.

I always wondered when Barr was giving speeches like that, if he was just making right sounding noises so Trump and his supporters would be patient, (”Stick with the plan, Duran’s going to nail b**tards any day now”), fooling everyone into thinking he was doing something. Now we know that’s all it was. He was just a DO NOTHING, AWOL, run out the clock, Bush insider.

And there you have it. When government fails at its most basic job, the people lose confidence and get upset. Simply to understand.

Those who invaded congressional chambers were a very small group of unbalanced and unintelligent people from a sea of over 328 million people. Members of Congress and bureaucrats blaming President Trump are either unbalanced, dishonest or unintelligent themselves. They should be ashamed of their exercise in hysteria.

I think it’s safe to say that when the federal government has to cordon off D.C., and hide behind miles of fencing, razor wire, and 30,000 armed troops, it has lost the consent of the governed.

Those in the capital were not all ANTIFA

We have Freepers who posted on this forum who were there said many were Trump supporters

The ones in the capital who caused most trouble appeared to be provocateurs but there who Trumpers in the wire

Frankly I don’t care

It’s a bunch of hype with Dems and GOPe pearl clutching the danger they were in

Bullshit danger

A mild bum rush at worst

Big deal

I mean really

In light of a year of cities burning

A woman murdered who posed no threat by a virulent anti Trump cop of color

It’s going to take more than hooligans in the capital to win this

I hate to break it to the sound and fury here

And one of their main orders of business is to make sure that anything other than the appearance the consent of the governed doesn't figure into the equation.

I don’t think anyone here thinks we actually have a chance at restoring the US to its former glory anytime soon. It’ll take a miracle and a lot more patriots.

There’s at least close to 75 million of us. If they think we will go away, they are about to learn. One very good thing about President Trump is that he revealed what it is that we are dealing with. It has been all revealed. Now we all know. President Trump taught us to fight. I’m not a Q believer but WWG1WGA....full charge ahead. Our voice together is loud and strong. They will rue the day, I swear.

The ones feigning hysteria are the ones who planned it and used their antifa pushiest pawns to create havoc so that they could blame a speech by Trump. Kind of like those who planned BENGAZI and then blamed it on a FAKE video. Everything about the planners in both situations was a means to a desired end:
We have been usurped by a gang of treasonous criminals and insurrectionists who are manipulative, without conscyand evil to the core.
It will NOT stand!

We’re beyond voting

We have no party obviously

Even Rush Limbaugh in his courageous final months is now hinting at this

Nobody saw this coming so fast so quick

Obama laid the seeds and is still in it....his crew

Open borders which changed the complexion literally and an ever leftist populace under 55....

It happened fast

Unde our noses

Capped off by the big steal

It will take a five percent hell raisers who Freepers will call racist and irresponsible to start it moving on the right

Freepers would have said Sam Adams was a trouble maker

“Take the high road”

I regret I’m old

what was Barr to do?

... came from a pedophilic family.

... worked in a pedophilic antiAmerican institution
that was pedophilic and seditionist (he was home).

... America hung in the balance while his people
enjoyed baby rape tapes and continued to lie
to Congress, the People, and WW, and do NOTHING.

Barr had a bad habit of “bad timing” in some of his statements, many of which hurt Pres. Trump and other conservatives, and his comments about affecting the Nov. 4th election by releasing certain documents was ridiculous considering that Comey did it with impunity.

Hopefully Durham is a stronger man and will do what his job called for him to do - thoroughly investigate Dossiergate, find out if laws were violated in the US and abroad, indict and try those individuals, and fight for convictions where justified.

Durham now has to be very careful of Obama/Clinton/Schumer-Pelosi Deep State plants inside his organization who could try to sabotage any negative findings about Hillary, her corrupt organization, Steele, the Deep State in the FBI/DOJ/NSA/CIA/DNI, etc. and the media.

I couldn’t have written this scenario if I tried and I’ve been a professional writer for 50 years. I wish I had. I’d have been the new John LeCarre, Tom Clancy, and John Grisham and rich.

It is more like a domestic infiltration of the top government agencies as you found in the Kevin Kostner movie “No Way Out”.
