A Patriot Party or whatever you’d call would fracture the GOP and assure a permanent Democrat majority.

THE GOP FRACTURED ITSELF.
You talk as if the GOP weren’t already fractured. It is VERY fractured right now. The GOP establishment is deeply out of touch with regular, patriotic Americans who ONLY vote R because there is no other home for them (for now).
The GOPe today are like the Whigs of the 19th century.
The Whigs had a problem, and it was that it was fractured in many places but most notably about slavery. The Republican party was formed by anti-slavery Whigs *and* Democrats.
So too a new Patriot party can be formed with millions of patriots from the GOP, Dems, as well as Libertarians and Independents who are sick of the Uniparty.
It’s time.
