Anyone who felt threatened by the suggested activity...could just pack up their bags and move to another state where they would not take this extreme action.

So you're saying that if they are placed in quarantine, but break out or otherwise defy the quarantine, and then get apprehended by the authorities, rather than being put into a camp, they can just merrily opt to move to a different state?

Yeah, when the Jews were being rounded up, why didn't they just leave? /sarcasm

There is no national quarantine standard....it’s one of a hundred odd pieces of the Germany Covid-story. You have sixteen standards being applied. This one state...is more stringent than the other fifteen.

The Jewish situation you bring up (1930s) was a federal/national trend. State by state standards disappeared rapidly because the Nazi apparatus federalized just about everything in existence. You don’t see that type of direct management by the German federal government today, nor will you see the sixteen states give up power that they currently hold.
