Do you really think Mitch would have allowed the “right attorney general

************************************

That was the time Trump needed to cement his role as the true leader of the United States. He needed to go to war with McConnell and do whatever it took. And no matter how that war played out and whatever happened at the end of the day, nothing could be worse than where we are right now.

I understand the frustration, but that would have ended Trumpism once and for all.

The way I see it, Trump lives to fight another day.

In February of 2019 POTUS was fending off the “RUSSIA! RUSSIA!” accusations and investigations. With nearly all the Democrats in Congress willing to vote for his impeachment and conviction, he needed every Republican ally he could muster in order to have any chance at re-election.

Which meant Mitch and his cronies were calling the shots on Presidential nominations.

Which is why there shouldn’t be much faith put in the new SCOTUS members.
