That’s funny but it’s a talk radio meme tossed around here that’s full of holes that Nazis and Communists are the same
They were not.
But wardaddy they called it national socialism you know
Yes and they also called East Germany the German Democratic Republic
The old circular political paradigms are better
Totalitarian at midnight and Authoritarian at your six
Germany had a lot of free enterprise and a lot of crony capitalism in armaments in particular and they emphasized nationalism over about anything
Russia only talked nationalism when fighting fascists ...and had essentially a state economy only
Both were police states and hegemonic and that’s where the similarity stops
Other major differences too
This meme to deflect that far right are Nazi like is the same nonsensical logic used by those who claim the democrat party has been evil since it’s inception and the GOPe is our golden rah rah and demonizing. Folks like Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren and so on
Politics is not so simple
This is Glenn Beck Mark Levin history lessons 101
And it’s failed us miserably
We lost Trump due to the GOPe more than to our foes the modern day Democrats
I’m not of the mind to excuse the GOPe anymore
With respect
I know it’s a strange thing to say about Hitler, but he actually was quite pragmatic.
While deep down he may have held the Socialist views of many other Nazis, he also understood that it would be a disaster in terms of getting his War Machine built.
What’s interesting to contemplate is what the Nazis would have done had they won the war, and they no longer needed the Business Class. Many suggest that the Nazis would have wiped them out as they did the Jews, in much the way the Bolsheviks did in Russia.
Both philosophies rely on the same requirement to squash the individual. You are a disposable cog to the glory of.... whatever the “Big Man” says it is. You are not important, you are not valuable, you are not an individual. Your greatest and only purpose is to glorify and serve unaccountable tyrants.
I don’t think Nazi Germany was a Free Enterprise wonderland. Could you start a business easily? If you can’t start a new business to compete with existing ones, you don’t have anything that can be described as a free enterprise system.
