yes...consumers save 38M....company saves much more...as opposed to going out of business, probably.
They didn’t foresee issues with moving parts and hydraulics? Idiots. Seriously, idiots.
Except I’ve been here less than 20 years and have had hail wipe out my roof twice. Sar panels wouldn’t survive long enough to break even. I’d like to have solar and battery bank in the garage and an electric vehi.my commute is right in the sweet spot for electric... But the technology isn’t there yet, and I can’t afford to be on gee learning curve.
You just have to believe that literally covering all of Nevada and a fair portion of Utah with solar cells is a viable plan for renewable energy... Does that even need a sarcasm tag? Even if we wanted to the resources don’t exist to make that many solar cells, nor is there enough storage capacity or transmission capacity to power the rest of the country from the west. But sure, tell me again Biden how we can do this. Ya just got to believe in unicorns farting gumdrops out of their backsides.
Anything that ain’t just panels is BS
PANELS. PV ONES. ARE INCREDIBLE.
25 yr warranty. 100 yr life. No moving parts
Economics.
3 solar panels. 325 w ea. 1 kw. Produces. 1500 kWh / yr
3 solar panels costs 500 $. 1500kwh is worth. 300$. At 20c per kWh
Ok kids. What’s my payback or return on investment ?
Oh. I forgot. In New Jersey and 15 other states. There is SRECs.
You’ll also get a CHECK for your clean energy every month
We never should have let the fruits and nuts out of California. Now they are polluting the gene pool in formerly rational parts of America.
Texas, listen up before it’s too late
Is Kepco the Kansai (Japan) Electric Power Co.? I used to use their lab power supplies.
Nobody could have seen this coming...
Wait, this makes no damn sense. If Xcek is buying the power, but the supplier is unable to deliver because the equipment is breaking, doesn’t the problem solve itself? Just say “Hey, we’re here with money to buy power. Don’t have any? Oh OK.” And even then, if the seller is unable to deliver, how does that make the innocent buyer liable to pay money to the feds??
It’s their Creative Accounting Dept.
I want small in ground portable no maintenance home reactors using thorium (so no possible weapons developments). and if not that then slightly larger neighborhood reactors.
The Leftnicks believe that legislation will force the sun to shine all the time and the wind will deliver state mandated velocity into the windmills. Meanwhile Leftnick politicians will ride their donkeys into windmills that fail to deliver and poke the sun that fails to shine. Leftnicks, as always, living in La La Land.
So, they are paying that much to terminate the contract only less than two years from its normal end?
Here is a question for you all: What does it cost to decommission and recycle a solar panel? I have been searching and can’t find the answer anywhere. The guys selling solar panels certainly won’t answer it....
Nothing like free energy
“I really wish they’d put nuke plants here in Colorado.”
Boulder would be a perfect site.
I see what you did there!!!
What a stupid inefficient system...hydraulic motors to tilt the panels with the track of the sun? Better to have made geodesic dome clusters of smaller solar panels....no hydraulics needed. You might need more solar cells to be able to produce a given amount of power but even the cells not in direct track of the sun on a given dome will still produce some power during daylight No moving parts...no expensive motors to replace...expenses balance out.
