If you believe what you posted, then perhaps you need to acquainte yourself with the concepts of inverse proportions and exponential growth.

Look at Chile and Venezuela history. Neither had the luxury of the time frame you suggest.

Warm and cozy dreams that you post are those intended to soothe children while preparing for bed, not adults sitting up late at night pondering the future.

The only time(s) in 50 years in businesses that I have had OSHA show up with a scheduled appointment was:

1. A follow up to a surprise inspection.

2. For a VPP activities.

I always find it interesting how much is known when it’s supposed to be unknown.

Years ago I used to work at a facility, that once a quarter ~10-15% of the work force wouldn’t come to work on Tuesday.

Apparently they were in the know when “random” drug test day was for full-time and contract workers. This went on for YEARS. It finally changed when the contractors started to no show whole crews on these Tuesdays. Safety department finally had to change up more. And still the numbers showed that some people knew the resring days.

Now,

Isn’t it amazing how many facilities across the country are VPP sites? Suppose to be model facilities, self police.

Yep.

Outside eyes, not just fed OSHA.

The meatpacking plants are even getting on the wagon. Now if they would get immigration, and all the other powers on board, then they wouldn’t have so many mystery no shows.

Wonder if someone has compared worker absenteeism during this administration, vs previous to identify the correlation betwixt soft enforcement and less random absenteeism.

Not that I care. Because what would it matter/change?

Does it make one a cynics life or just an observer of facts?

I’d let them in on one condition, that they ALL LIVE in Delaware.

I’m sure the white liberals there would love that! NOT!

Coming to Wilmington, Rehoboth, Lewes, Dewey Beach, and Biden’s neighborhood. Yeah! Right! (Sorry, Oh LEFT)!

They will not be citizens in any sense except legally - and only to the extent that an illegal law is legal. This is exactly like the thugs in power telling us that a criminal who broke into our home is now a legal resident of our home. Yes . . . they have the force to compel us to tolerate and obey . . . for as long as they deploy those forces to directly observe and obstruct us. After that . . .

Doesn’t really matter.

Non-citizen trash from India and Communist China can vote locally. Hence, the complete domination of Indians in King County, Chinese in other locations and Mexicans in others. No citizenship requirement for local elections, if ordinances give them the right.

Your pints are valid.

I have taken two facilities through VPP Cert. It was ultimately good for both. That said our internal programs were even more stringent that OSHA. to the point where OSHA uses us for reference to other businesses. Around here several companies that were VPP cert. have abandoned the program. Why? Because we have state run OSHA and they are way underfunded. The chances of having a surprise visit from OSHA are minimum.

What does slo-Joe intend to do about the additional 20 million illegals that have been added since that 11 million figure was first in use?

The jobs have already gone.

Oh I have noticed the jobs are gone. What I also noticed is alot of Americans dont want to work. Every summer I take a summer job at a nearby tourist town. Work is easy, pay is good. Plus you get a pass for the area attractions so I can take my granddaughter on a budget. These businesses beg for workers and resort to J1 visas to fill those positions.

A resort town paying “good” wages?

I wonder if the J1 visa recipients are cheaper than the local college kids are willing to work for?

Employees are hard to find. Don’t know about this year as most was locked down, but 2019 found the local Burger King starting at $18/hour. It has nothing to do with hiring outsiders. I have seen how few applications cross the desk. College kids would rather take the summer off. The reason college loan debt is extreme. It wasn’t only the cost of college those loans were used for, but also food, clothes, nightlife, car payment etc. Unfortunately many of our American youngsters don’t want to do the work. Those that do take jobs don’t want to put their phones down.

America has raised the laziest most entitled generation in history. They have been indoctrinated since grade school. Not all, but a majority. And our commie leaders encourage it. Other countries are laughing at us. And I am sure some see us as an easy target.

My youngest just turned 25. Worked hard in high school, wrote essays, applied for scholarships. Worked on weekends. Worked throughout college. Paid her own way. We paid for car insurance and phone. Graduated with double major and just over $3000 in debt.
