Cancel the lease yourself and watch them squeal like stuck pigs. Cancel the lease and Palm Beach gets a fully developed golf course to do with what they want. Trump gets nothing.

Make them call their bluff, Mr President! Cancel the lease yourself and watch them squeal like stuck pigs. Another "you have to lose to win" strategy? That's not President Trump's style.
He should confront the council and demand to know who did it, and then threaten breach of contract and punitive damages. Threaten to drag the county to court and make them pay for it.

They won’t squeal. They’ll sell it off to one of their developer friends and get a fatass kickback. Or somos will come in and slam up a boatload of houses.
These people don’t care.
But it would be nice to see the official named and ask them to personally address all the people that will lose their jobs for no reason other than a temper tantrum

Why should he make what they're trying to do easier? If he tries to back out of the lease he will be in breach of contract. If they try to back out of the lease they will be in breach of contract.
