In one case during the voir dire process, a prospective juror, in a heavy Slavic accent blurted out that he hated black people. The judge informed him that none are the parties or witnesses were black. He then professed that he hated Hispanics too. Bingo! He was off the panel.

I think if he was informed that there were no Hispanics in the case, he would have exclaimed Irish, Chinese, Germans...am I getting warmer?

No. My Mom served on quite a few juries during her long life. Generally, she loved it. But she was honest, and admitted she had already drawn a conclusion in the Ramirez case.
