The lawsuit from the State of New York seeks to dissolve the NRA. You and New York can cry about this all you want, but New York is getting what they asked for.

You certainly have earned points for being consistent. Consistently wrong.

If you committed manslaughter in New York State, you would be subject to New York law, New York courts, and New York correctional facilities. If upon completion of your sentence you decide to relocate to Arkansas, Hawaii, or Timbuktu you’d be free to do so.

Bankrupts like the NRA are likewise subject to the bankruptcy law of the states in which they’re legally domiciled. Signing a bankruptcy application, as LaPierre did, doesn’t free them from the courts of the state in which they are incorporated.

Whatever remains of the husk of the NRA will be free to relocate assuming it has satisfied the terms of the State of New York.
