It is simply not possible to unite the country. Unity is dependent a reasonable consensus of commonly held values among the population. If you can clearly define those actual commonly held values that would be the basis for real unity.

Problem is, folks don’t know how to parse the Left. For example:

For Communists, ‘Peace’ meant an absence of resistance to socialism.

For Moslems, ‘Peace’ means Submission to Islam.

Once you understand that, it should be obvious that ‘Unity’ when spoken by a Leftist parses to “Do as we say, or else!”

Bob is correct. He is offering a rational argument. The Democrats pay lip service to reuniting the country, but that is “the Big Lie”. The truth is that they want to cancel all of us. Bob is calling “bull****”. The solution is to look at what they do and use that to interpret their motives. Their behavior after the election to the present shows they want a scorched earth policy.
