Hopefully but I’ll believe it when I see it. The US is only about 22-23% of all Twitter users worldwide.
The conservative versions of twitter and FB are difficult to use and don’t have the features.
I use FB for my business -I obtain about 25-30% of annual sales from FB. I also use FB to check out hobbyist groups I belong to.
I have found vintage photos on FB I never found on google. etc.
Keep in mind that worldwide users don't equate to money. There's a reason that U.S. consumers are so targeted whereas many of the overseas users are in effect subsidized by their U.S. counterparts. A drop in U.S. Twitter and Facebook users has a significant impact on their advertising rates. Worse, as they jump to other content providers, it's a double hit.
