Google Maps says it is a 31 minute walk, but they rerouted the path, so it would have been at least 45 minutes to get there.

That’s a great video, very representative of my own experience. My group decided to stay on the hillside just north of the Washington Monument. I made a few trips down to the “mosh pit” area but our group kept a spot about 100 yards from the monument. From there, with binos, I was able to see north to Trump (on the Jumbotron), as well as east to the Capitol. The Capitol was being swarmed before Trump finished. This is beyond dispute.
