About 3.9 million more doses were delivered (about 2 million per day - a big jump)
About 1.3 million received their first dose (About 650,000 per day, down slightly from the weekend rate of 750,000, but still up from last week)
Over 300,000 more doses were delivered for Nursing Homes (150,000 per day, way up from the weekend's 60,000)
About 150,000 more people in Nursing Homes received their first dose (75,000 per day, about the same as the weekend rate).
Deliveries have been 2 or 3 times the number used. Inventories are building.
The Federal Government has changed their recommendations, encouraging State and Local Governments to make vaccine available to anyone 65 or older, or with co-morbidities. Several places have already changed (California went to 65), and more are expected soon.
By inauguration day, about 5% of the US population should have their first stick, and Nursing Homes will have given most of their folks a first dose.
The new recommendations (anyone 65 or older, or co-morbidity) should get a lot more shots in arms, and make a big impact on disease outcomes (like hospitalization and mortality) over the next month or two.
KPBS reports “The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) is eager to get vaccines into 40,000 pharmacy locations across the United States.
NACDS Senior Vice President Kathleen Jaeger said a group of 19 pharmacy chains across the U.S. could start to receive some quantity of COVID-19 vaccines at their brick and mortar locations starting Thursday.”

And many of the states (including Maryland where we lives) appear to be taking their sweet time changing. I think these bureaucratic states should simply allow a substantial portion of their ongoing “allotments” to be distributed through routine (and VERY efficient) pharmacy distribution channels to private enterprise pharmacies. They actually know how to EFFICIENTLY schedule and administer vaccinations to qualified customers - THEY’RE NOT AMATEURS!
Number of people refusing to accept this abomination: THOUSANDS if not MILLIONS, including ME.
Propaganda
Screw this stupid bug
Screw vaccines for this stupid bug
Screw vaccines in general
Silver kills all bugs dead. It’s free
Thanks for the update. Below are my non scientific comments re the vaccination and Covid rules now:
What % of our Deploreables have been classified as “Nonessential Americans” re anything in their living with Covid 19 rules in their states/cities.
Often, they were/are the first to be laid off or told to close their life long businesses or careers.
In some states, unless they are over 65 or 75, they are at the bottom of those eligible for the Vaccinations even if they wish to say “No Thanks! I don’t want it!”
What % of our deploreables have been classified as “Nonessential Americans” re anything dealing with Covid 19!
Before, even having the choice to say no “No Thank You!”
