I was reading the 1856 Republican platform. Guess what one of their platform issues was:

Fair elections.

The solved the problem—at a great cost—but they solved it.

Our nation has a history & tradition of fair elections. I think it is something we can claw back, but it won’t be easy and it won’t be painless.

At some point we’ve got to try.

They weren't dealing with Marxism and instantaneous (internet) vote stealing in 1856 or foreign countries interfering. They also weren't "wussified". Stop and think about the cultural differences. Passing laws isn't going to stop them, they ignored state laws in order to cheat.

The only thing that controls an out of control government is fear of the people and they (government) aren't afraid.
