I always thought McCarthy was an idiot when he said they did the Benghazi hearings to reduce Hillary Clinton’s numbers. They Dems beat that crap out of the doofus for saying that. Abused his committee power for admitted partisan purposes. He should have been ejected then, for blazing stupidity.
McCarthy on September 29, 2015 on Hannity:
“And let me give you one example. Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s un-trustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened had we not fought and made that happen.”
This is what I don’t get, and I’ve tried tried to explain to people who don’t support Trump.
What would you rather have, a President who literally could not get away with anything without the press hounding on him, or a President who could literally get away with murder, knowing the press would cover for him?
