They must represent very blue areas. i.e. they are textbook RINO’s.
Truth is, I’ve assumed, since I was about 40, that eventually the whole country would go blue. It’s inevitable. It’s just human nature. It’s a cycle, and this one has just about gone full circle. It harkens back to this old meme that used to be distributed through tenth generation copies before the internet:
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to selfishness;
From selfishness to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.”
And here we are. This is no longer a Christian nation, and our constitution can work with no other culture. It was a good run, though. Let the next generation learn what bondage REALLY is. They asked for it. One attribute of a democracy is that you not only get the government you want. You get the government you deserve.
Of course, this time the remnant has a few hundred million guns so it will probably be fairly bloody.
And that's why I support a peaceful transition. Who am I to deprive all these people from getting the government that they deserve?
